[Vitall - Iluminating Bass]

The kick is too quiet (it's too boomy and it lacks punch) and the mix should be better like you said in description, also this isn't really mastered. Also the buildup is louder than the drop, but it has potential if those things are fixed :)

My fl studio crashed , and since i dont have the paid version yet i cant open any save made. I had a wav saved before i was gonna try fixing it , and im not the best at mastering but tried fixing without much success beacuse the mix is trash

Very chill and relaxing, only critics is that the drop is too loud in comparation to other parts, but everything else great :)

A gritty wavetable with unison, highpass with some resonance, lowpass filter modulation, distort, OTT, highpass, OTT, saturate and mix to your liking.

[High Ground]

The snare sound have some more layers (like 2 more, one panned to left and the other one to right) to sound a bit better on headphones, the drums and the bass are really groovy and sound really cool. Thr melody beginning at 0:40 sounds cool, but could use some variations to make a 4 or 8 bar loop, would make it more interresting. Also you could add a vibrato or smth. to make it sound more interesting. The part at 2:00 is a bit empty, add percussions or some parts but not the whole drum loop. The part at 2:45 when you add cymbals somehow the initial groove from the beginning is lost, try to make it less on the grid or quieter and also the bass&kick are too low, which gave that funky feel. But ovarall great mix and really funky :D

Thanks for the feedback! I think I agree with everything. The drums are indeed thin and could use layering. The carousel synth is a bit basic indeed. I agree the transition at 2:00 is very light. I tried a bit adding more stuff, but couldn't get it to sound right, so left it simple (probably too simple.) I've just updated the part with the cymbals, so the bassline follows the main groove, as it was easy to change.
